In the historic centre of Porto Levante, which today, due to the urban layout of the locality, is a sound example of a small fishing village, able to hand down the arts and crafts of the past, is the site of the Parco della Ghiacciaia, that has thus become an open-air fishing museum.
Around the "Ghiacciaia", with an exhibition itinerary reconstructing the steps of fishing and product's processing, as well as the tools and actions on which this world is centred, the traditional and historical context of fishing in lagoon and marine areas is described with illustrated panels.
The different exhibition panels, spread along the way, make a great contribution to this goal. They can be accessed from two sides of the park leading to the Ghiacciaia artefact, i.e., the focal point of the open-air museum.
